Earthly treasures and rust

All the worldly possessions are perishable. Hence are not important.
As the word of The Lord says in Mathew 6:20 - 'But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal'.
Spend your time, effort and life to earn credits for the life after.

Are you a buffalo?

Who are you?
What is your identity?

As a part of my day job I meet a lot of clients in a daily basis. In one if such meetings I met this three year old kid who was learning animal names. Now as the animals had a characteristic feature assigned to it, the kid assigned a name of the animal to everyone he knew. His dad was a lion and his mom was a tiger. As the proud mom asked me to quiz him about who he associated with he said I am a buffalo!?

Aren't we all like that? We tend to choose some characteristics of things that are ungodly and of the world. Slowly the Christ like features go away from our lives and we change to the satan's team. How sad can it be that before we realize we shift allegiances. It is important to look at ourself once in a whole Andover back towards The Lord and wash ourselves clean in the blood of the Christ. Unless we do that on a daily basis we wouldn't even realize the filth that has crept into our lives.

Now back to the kid! When I asked him why he had chosen the buffalo he said the buffalo was stronger and could fight and defeat the lion as he had seen in a video in school. Now I understood that he was actually suggesting that he is more stronger than his peers. Bravo kid. God bless.

Praise Him

How do you win over your obstacles?

The Psalmist sings all through his fears and sorrows. He doesn't let the praise leave his mouth. For The Lord builds castles and city walls in praise and praise has the capability to break down mountains. As the mighty walls of Jerico fell to the sounds of praise of the Israelites the walls and troubles that are against you will fall down with the praise of The Lord. As it is written in Psalm 34:1 let 'His praise shall continually be in my mouth'.

God bless and may all your obstacles be removed in the praise of The Lord. Amen.

Fasting is humbling

Once in a week try and fast for sometime. As a kid I was encouraged to fast regularly. Especially it was a ritual to fast on every Friday for half a day. This time coincided to match the prayer night at our church. I loved Fridays especially because though we fasted for half a day I could have all the snacks in the other half.

As I grew up the habit stayed and I continued to fast and spend some quality time with the Lord. God has always been closer when I fast and trust me fasting is humbling. It teaches you to connect with The Lord on the highest level and seek his grace.

Make sure you drink enough fluids and be hydrated when you fast. Spend time with God when you fast.

Share your experiences too.

Break every chain

A beautiful song proclaiming the victory of Christ over all evil forces, bindings, sickness and defeat.
Walking with Christ would make you a winner.
